Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Gently untangling the thoughts that keep the stress spinning, and building steadier ones in their place.
Mental health · Lagos, Nigeria
Terapo is a Nigerian mental-health initiative that helps people carry less — working through depression, anxiety and everyday stress with therapy, music, movement and calm.
Who we are
Life in Lagos rarely slows down, and stress has a way of building quietly until it costs us our health, our work and our peace.
Terapo is a supportive, adjustive initiative — a small team using several gentle, evidence-based methods together to help people manage depression, anxiety and stress. Some of our work is one-to-one; much of it happens in group Stress Off Sessions and in talks we bring to schools, offices and public institutions across Lagos.
Care here is meant to feel human, unhurried and within reach — not clinical and not out of price.
Our approach
Stress doesn’t come at us from one direction, so we don’t meet it from one either. We combine five methods, matched to the person in front of us.
Gently untangling the thoughts that keep the stress spinning, and building steadier ones in their place.
Guided mental imagery and movement to loosen the tension the body has quietly been holding.
Time spent in calm, real surroundings — nature and open space used as part of the therapy itself.
Sound and rhythm used to settle the nervous system, lift low moods and make room to breathe.
Reworking the language we use with ourselves, to change how we feel and how we respond under pressure.
That’s completely normal. Reach out and we’ll help you find the way in that fits you best.

Our regular group session — a scheduled pause to breathe, reset and put the weight down for a while, together. We also bring it to workplaces, schools and public institutions on request.
Book or host a sessionWe can’t exhaust our duties and responsibilities in life — but the duties and responsibilities can exhaust us. To do our best, we have to consciously and regularly take a day off, to take the stress off.
News & sessions
Terapo delivered a session — “Mental Stress and its Damaging Process” — to the FRSC Lagos State Sector Command, Ojodu, exploring how unmanaged stress builds and what teams can do about it.
New sessions, talks and updates can be posted here anytime through the site’s editor — no developer needed.
